CSCS have announced that ended the exemption to the HSE Test Requirement, which previously allowed CSCS Card Applicants to gain a new card without completing the test.
In most cases, applicants are required to hold a nationally recognised qualification (usually an NVQ) and have passed the CITB Health & Safety test in the past 2 years. However, before the 2nd of September applicants who had achieved the NVQ within the last 2 years were not required to pass the CITB Health & Safety test.
This exemption has now ended and all applicants are now required to pass the CITB health safety and environment test regardless of them having achieved an NVQ or SVQ.
