As part of our CITB funded 9-11 year old programme aimed at raising awareness in construction among the younger generation, this week we visited The Oaks Primary School to deliver 2 sessions in construction.
Each student was given the opportunity to do some basic plumbing, floor-work and build a mock construction site. The students enthusiasm to get involved was brilliant, with each of them throwing themselves into the opportunity to have a go at something different.
Not only will we be going into primary schools to deliver the training, but we are also inviting students from the sessions to come into our training centre with their parent and take part in a short construction project that they are able to take home with them.
We’d like to personally thank The Oaks primary school for hosting us for the day, and we cant wait to go back for some more sessions in the future!
