Eastern Training has a team of dedicated tutors, assessors and support staff to ensure your NVQ is as smooth as possible from start to finish. Enroll onto the Level 3 NVQ in supervision
NVQ’s also known as a ‘National Vocational Qualifications’, have been around for a while now, but what exactly does an NVQ include and more specifically, a level 3 NVQ in Supervision?
The Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision NVQ is designed for existing supervisors that practice supervision in their day to day jobs. An existing supervisor may already hold a Site Supervision Safety certificate (SSSTS) or may have developed their experience and skills on the job. Either way, the NVQ is designed to assess candidate’s competence, and to ensure each candidate meets the standards.
So, what does this mean? Its quite simple really, each NVQ has a set of ‘standards’ dictated by the awarding body (in our case NOCN). Each candidate must demonstrate, through written, verbal or video evidence that he or she is able to work to these standards. Once the candidate has demonstrated this, your assessor will then collate the evidence ready for our internal verifier to sign of as complete. Once this has been done, we proceed to apply for the candidate’s certificate, which is valid for a lifetime.
Standards vary from course to course, with a Supervisors NVQ you will cover areas such as organizing work, maintaining health & safety, monitoring the progress of work and maintaining work relationships. Our assessor will visit you either onsite or at an office/place of work, at a prearranged time. During this visit, the assessor will collect evidence from you in the form of videos, photos, work sheets plus other sources. You will also be asked to carry out some tasks in your own time to support your portfolio.
