Delivering apprenticeships in Roofing is something we are very passionate about, that’s why we were delighted to be celebrating all things apprenticeships during the 3rd-7th February for National Apprenticeship Week.
The celebration saw awards being given out to students that had shown exceptional skill, behaviour and dedication to their craft. Among the winners were:
Apprentice of the Year – Daniel Coulthard of Bailey Roofing
Rising Star Award – Matthew Carr of RG Leverett Roofing
Most Improved Roofer – Jake Templeman of Lodge Roofing
Clive Coote, the students tutor said ‘its been a pleasure to celebrate national apprenticeship week again this year and give out awards to those we feel have gone the extra effort. All three of the winners this year should be extremely proud of themselves and are thoroughly deserving of their award’
This year, Eastern Roof Training also introduced a new award, the award for the ‘Apprentice Employer of the Year’. This award was designed to highlight the company that not only provided the best support for their apprentices on programme, but their support for Apprenticeships in Roofing on the whole. This years winner of the award was given to Avonside Roofing Braintree. Avonside Roofing Braintree have been exemplary in their support for their Apprentices over the past years, resulting in their Roofing Apprentices picking up Eastern Roof Training’s Apprentice of the Year 2019 and the much-coveted Skill Build Pitched Roofing joint first place.
Finally, Eastern Roof Training would like to give a special thanks to all those manufacturers that have supported National Apprenticeship Week and provided an abundance of prizes and goodies for the Apprentices to take away with them.
