On the 8th of January, 16 students aged 14-16, from the Raedwald Trust in Ipswich, Suffolk, started their BTEC Level 1 Brickwork course with us. The newly formed partnership with Eastern Region Training and Raedwald Trust was formed so that we could provide construction training provision to individuals at risk of leaving education. Each student will gain Construction qualifications that will not only help keep them in education, but will also contribute to an increased likelihood of employment within the construction industry in the future.
To date we have been extremely impressed with all the students that attend our training centre on a weekly basis to complete their BTEC Level 1 Brickwork course. Raedwald Trust have been equally impressed with the scheme’s potential and have committed further groups of students to undertake the same qualification whilst also enrolling the current students on further construction courses with us such as the BTEC in Plumbing and the BTEC in Carpentry
We look forward to seeing the student’s continued progress on their construction training courses over the coming months and working closely with Raedwald Trust. If you are interested in one of Level 1 BTEC construction courses or a partnership similar to the above, please get in touch with us
