Eastern Region Training have received funding enabling us to deliver Construction Taster sessions for year 7-9 students from our construction training centre, based just outside of Ipswich in Baylham.
The funding is in place to give students aged between 11-13 the opportunity to increase their awareness and understanding of the variety of careers in the construction industry. Students that attend will have the opportunity to try their hand in an area of construction, whether that be Roofing on our specialist roofing rigs, Bricklaying in the bricklaying bays, or trying some basic plumbing/carpentry on our work benches.
Eastern Region Training have had over 10 local high schools put students through the construction sessions during the last 2 years, with many of those schools coming back to add additional groups due to the success of the first session.
